tunes

Just bought my first track from Apple - iTunes for Windows (song - The Ataris remake of Boys of Summer). Next up, some Jonny Lang, Powerman 5000, and Queens of the Stoneage.

The interface is a little clunky and slow, but the ease of buying songs makes up for that.

I feel like a kid in a candy store.

If you haven't checked out Rhapsody from listen.com you might want to check that out too as you can preview full songs, not just 30 seconds. Downside is it is a monthly subscription fee ($10/month) but you can get a 14 day free trial. The selection between iTunes and Rhapsody is very similar although I am noticing some newer material at iTunes. Launch days for software on the web is cool! :)

I had looked at Rhapsody, and a few others, but the monthly subscription was what held me back.
Sometimes I'm a tune download monster, then I go for a month or so with nothing. So the subscription model didn't work for me.
Plus, my wife just happened to leave me with a credit card (right by the PC, no less) yesterday, and when the anouncement was made, I just had to try it.
